Waste-Based Eco-Printing Exploration to Stimulate Motor Skills of YPAC Surabaya Special Needs School Students

Kemasan dalam industri kreatif saat ini menjadi identitas visual bernilai tambah, namun terkendala biaya produksi kustomisasi yang mahal bagi pemula. Di sisi lain, potensi estetis dari limbah rumah tangga masih jarang dieksplorasi. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan melatih kreativitas sekaligus menstimulasi perkembangan motorik halus anak berkebutuhan khusus di SLB YPAC Semolowaru, Surabaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dan eksperimen terbimbing melalui modifikasi teknik cetak tinggi (block printing) dengan memanfaatkan limbah harian seperti batang sereh, bubble wrap, dan dedaunan di atas media kertas Kraft ekonomis. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap, meliputi validasi teknik oleh mahasiswa DKV dan pelatihan intensif bagi 20 siswa sekolah dasar SLB. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa program ini berhasil melatih keterampilan motorik halus siswa melalui aktivitas menempel dan mewarnai, serta menghasilkan 20 karya kemasan yang unik. Evaluasi pelaksanaan merekomendasikan perlunya pendampingan personal secara berkala dan cermat mengingat karakteristik variatif dari siswa berkebutuhan khusus.
