Virtual Reality Implementation for Airport Approach Light Maintenance

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman teknis dan keterampilan praktis terkait pemeliharaan approach light bandara melalui implementasi teknologi Virtual Reality (VR). Pelatihan konvensional sistem pencahayaan pendekatan bandara sering menghadapi keterbatasan berupa risiko keselamatan, akses terbatas ke area sisi udara, serta biaya operasional yang tinggi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 24 April 2025 di Malino dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 43 orang. Metode kegiatan meliputi penyampaian materi, praktek simulasi berbasis VR, diskusi terpandu, serta evaluasi melalui umpan balik peserta. Sistem VR mensimulasikan komponen approach light bandara, prosedur pemeliharaan, dan skenario gangguan secara imersif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap prosedur pemeliharaan, kesadaran keselamatan kerja, serta motivasi yang tinggi terhadap pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pelatihan berbasis VR dapat menjadi alternatif yang efektif dan aman dalam penguatan kapasitas masyarakat di bidang pemeliharaan infrastruktur bandara.
