Abstract

Early marriage is an issue that is still rampant in Indonesia and has a serious impact on reproductive health, especially in rural areas. Early marriage has a significant negative impact on the physical and mental health of adolescents. PKK cadres and youth organizations as an extension of the government are expected to be able to become agents of change in disseminating reproductive health information to the public. This community service activity (PkM) aims to increase the knowledge of PKK cadres and Youth Organizations in Kandang Village, Kampung Melayu District, Bengkulu City regarding reproductive health and the dangers of early marriage. The methods used were interactive counseling through lectures, simulations with phantom aids, and pre-test and post-test to measure the improvement of participants' understanding. A total of 30 participants participated in this activity. The results showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge of the health risks of early marriage and the importance of maintaining reproductive health, with a higher average post-test score than the pre-test. This mentoring activity increased the knowledge of PKK and Karang Taruna cadres about reproductive health and early marriage. The use of the lecture method with phantom aids has been proven to be effective in improving participants' understanding. PKK cadres and Youth Organizations can be agents of change in society in disseminating this information.
