Rapid urbanization has brought serious challenges to food security in urban areas, mainly due to limited agricultural land. Urban farming comes as an innovative solution that utilizes limited land in cities for local food production. However, this practice often faces efficiency and productivity constraints. Internet of Things (IoT) technology offers opportunities to improve efficient land management, real-time monitoring of crop conditions, and better automation. This article reports the results of a community service activity by a lecturer from Bogor Agricultural University at SMKS Bhinneka Karya 5 Boyolali. This activity aims to increase the younger generation's understanding of urban farming, food security, and the role of IoT technology in facing agricultural challenges in the modern era. With an educational and practical approach, students were introduced to the concept of technology-based urban farming and its application in everyday life. The results of this activity are expected to encourage active participation of youth in modern agriculture and provide guidance for educators and policy makers in developing innovative and sustainable learning strategies.
